Antix M12
Pentium 933 MHz
1.5 GB RAM
80 GB HDD
Video Card Rage 128 AGP
I am very satisfied with that.
I ran some programs in order to use as much RAM as I can but I gave at 965 MB so I think I can safely remove the swap partition.

i didn't used swap when i had 256mb of ram. if you don't go crazy on firefox tabs you should be more that ok with 256 with browser, music, torrents, movies and others at the same time. currently i have 1gb of ram and the only time i see past 512 mb of ram is when i have 40+ tabs on firefox opened.

I have installed antix (Edelweißpiraten) on two laptops, one with P4 2.0 GHz and 232 MB RAM and the other with Celeron M 1.3 GHz and 468 Mb RAM. On both machines it runs fairly decent, especially for the 232 MB RAM machine I really was impressed.

Pentium III (Celeron Coppermine) with 256 MB of RAM, and a 20 GB hard drive. The AntiX partition occupies 4.9GB out of 7.7GB. My data is on a separate partition. I have neither a sound card nor a video card - just onboard chips (intel mobo).

I had a desktop built from Abit KU8 motherboard, an almost dead Codegen 350W, AMD Sempron
2800+ (1.6GHz, 32 bit, single core), 2x512 MB DDR400 RAM, 250 GB IDE HDD and Ati 9200 LE
videocard (passive cooling). This is enough to run other distros in virtualbox.

I decided to upgrade my hardware in two steps. This time I have a new 2 TB Seagate sata3
HDD and an FSP Raider 550W PS. The next step will be new motherboard+apu+memory probably in 2014. Using the new power supply I was able to get stable 240 MHz FSB. With this the maximum speed during file copy is above 60 MB/s on IDE ch3 & onboard sata1 emulator chip.

At the same time I've switched from Ubuntu 12.04 & Mate desktop to AntiX 12 & Mate. So now
the system boots and runs faster, then ever.

Waited until beta2 of the 64-bit version before coming back to my favorite Debian-based distro.
I'm very impressed with refinement of the distro. Congrats on the good work!

This one is built or updated from the M11 release of antiX core, but it is as current in software as any of my Debian-based systems. This - and Debian Sid - are my two favorite distributions.

My oldest laptop with AntiX is currently at a friends house and is working pretty well and fast enough.
It is a HP of beginning 2003 with 2xx MB internal RAM, 8 GB HDD (rest is for the data) and was originally working with Windows XP.
Even the WIFI via external USB (no internal card yet, I believe nobody got WIFI in that years) works flawlessly.
Since the system only got an internal CD-ROM (no, not writable) and no option for booting from USB, AntiX - edelweisspiraten is the best working solution on that system. An older version of Ubuntu (still from CD) was possible but much slower because it needs to swap more often.
Actually I had it working with only 128 MB internal RAM without problems as well.

Antix 13 32 bit running on the"old sony" . this laptop is so old it still has a 3-1/2" floppy drive permanently installed! This is a win98 era machine, although it came with windows xp. I just watched some youtube videos with it. flash crashed in the browser but gtk-youtube-viewer worked great!

loading/unloading aptitude is quite slow, but 2 ROXTerm and a NetSurf work quite good together.
The computer needs a memory upgrade and/or a faster hdd, but it works.
