Yes you are right, theZoid. antiX is very flexible. Works well on old and new boxes.
That is a pretty poweful box you have there.
What is on the other 500GB?

(BTW, inxi can be run as user, no need to run it as root, just to let you know __{{emoticon}}__ )

Have fun!

It has been a long time in use as familycomputer, and with Antix and Slackware it's still working well. I used Pardus before but over time that became to slow on this system.

AntiX was updated to 8.2 with anti's script. Runs great.

I also have it running on a Pentium III 500 MHz with 192 MB of ram. Does great on that machine as well.

Motorcycle Shop Desktop, IBM M41 running wireless 200 feet away from house router through metal walls of shop and walls through house. I run KDE 4 after using meta installer on it. This Desktop keeps all my manuals and bike specs on it. I also have to use/dual boot Windows on it to tune certain harley ignition and fuel injection modules with it.

I was able to boot the live CD of antiX-M8-base on a Dell desktop system with a 266 MHz Pentium II processor and 64 MB of RAM. It's slow, but usable for some simple tasks. The 384 MB swap partition on the HDD probably helps. Compare that to TinyMe 2008.0, which booted up extremely slowly and eventually locked up before getting to the login screen.
