Compaq presario 2100 with AMD Athlon XP 2800. Antix 13.2 with Icewm-Rox.

Chromium browser is much quicker to load pages than iceweasel.

Evrything else runs quicker than XP.

OpenGL stuff runs super quick

oddly the only other linux that runs well on this rig has been Fedora 20 lxde. Solydx runs ok and manjaro 8.9 xfce live ran ok but an aborted install left me with a weird situation where the live cd would no longer give me the option to install even after i reset the drive map and formatted the HDD-even writing 111's and 00's over the hdd did not fix the problem so back to old friend antix I went.

Oops, that post above was from my antiX instance on my Gateway portable. There, I'm actually running antiX 13.2 with the 4.0 kernel and Debian Testing, which I've had there since the release. It's been running off Debian Testing and it works fine.

However, last night I ran antiX 15 Beta on my Lenovo laptop. That one has specific code in it concerning systemd vs sysvinit and as others have warned, on that one, it breaks when running against Testing. Over the next several days I will try to run some more tests to isolate what is working and what is not working and that may help to determine where to go next with this - of course someone else may find a solution before I get it because my test time is limited these days. But as far as the antiX kernels, all of the recent ones - 3.19 variations and 4.0, they work on both the Gateway and the Lenovo. In addition, I have several other distributions set up and the recent Liquorix kernels (and I think they may have a 4.0.2 that I recently tested) all work fine as well, both with other distributions, and also the last time I tested them on antiX.

This is a desktop-pc which I bought piece by piece (during a half year) and when everything was there, screwed it together by myself, first time in my life.
It runs debian testing and still the beta antiX-14-a3-RD_x64-full Killah P 11 October 2014. The time I installed, it was just a test,
but now it's my main and dearest system and I'm annoyed that I did'nt give it more space. It's getting better every day without any issues.
