security fix adobe-flashplugin now in nonfree repos
Palemoon version 28.2.2 now in repos
I uploaded 17.2.1 versions of antiX-core and antiX-net since there was a problem with the cli-installer.
The cli-installer is fixed and available in our repositories via apt/synaptic so anyone with existing antiX-17.2 net or core iso files need to do a dist-upgrade before installing.
New, secure debs of xserver-xorg in the repos. antiX-17.x stretch users (default set up) are advised to dist-upgrade.
See here for more details of the exploit.

antiX-17.2 (Helen Keller) released
This is primarily a point-release upgrade of antiX-17.1 (Heather Heyer) with a new L1TF/Foreshadow and Meltdown/Spectre patched kernel, various bugfixes, updated translations and some upgraded packages.
As usual we offer the following completely systemd-free flavours for both 32 and 64 bit architecture.
antiX-full (c1GB) – 4 windows managers – IceWM (default), fluxbox, jwm and herbstluftwm plus full libreoffice suite.
antiX-base (c680MB so fits on a cd) – 4 windows managers – IceWM (default), fluxbox, jwm and herbstluftwm.
antiX-core (c330MB) – no X, but should support most wireless.
antiX-net (c170MB)- no X. Just enough to get you connected (wired) and ready to build.
The 32 bit version uses a non-pae kernel.
So what has changed since antiX-17.1 release?
* new 4.9.126 kernel patched for L1TF/Foreshadow and Meltdown/Spectre exploits
* all packages upgraded to Debian 9.5
* eudev updated to 3.6
* firefox-esr upgraded to 60.2.2 (Quantum)
* our nosystemd version of pulseaudio included
* non free debs moved from main to nonfree in antiX repos
* improved localization
* antiX-full – gz compression is used, which makes the live iso faster to boot, but bigger in size
So, why should I use antiX?

Many thanks to the antiX team, testers, supporters, and translators.
Also many thanks to the MX Linux programmers for various applications ported to antiX.
Enjoy antiX-17.2!
anticapitalista, 05 October 2018, Thessaloniki.
I have repackaged several antiX applications.
Most are due to new and improved translations (many thanks to all our translators).
eudev is a bugfix.
Upgrades should run smoothly, if prompted about desktop-session.conf, simply press Enter to keep your current version.
antiX-17.2 point release should be available early October.
As a result of a request from one of our users, we have moved non free packages out of the antiX main folder to its own nonfree one. The new nonfree section applies to antiX stretch, testing and sid repos.
As you can see in the stretch nonfree repo antiX stretch/nonfree debs this includes a few packages, but for testing and sid only adobe-flashplugin.
Users should change their /etc/apt/sources.d/antix.list if you want to upgrade non-free debs to this:
# Use with Debian Stable/stretch repositories. Set as default for antiX-17. Note new repos
deb http://repo.antixlinux.com/stretch stretch main nosystemd nonfree
# Use with Debian Testing repositories.
#deb http://repo.antixlinux.com/testing testing main nosystemd nonfree
# Use with Debian Sid repositories.
#deb http://repo.antixlinux.com/stretch stretch main nosystemd nonfree
Of course, if you want to be clean/libre than do not use nonfree nor non-free in debian.list in the repo lists.
