Just got done working on the 386 music version

Added mime type to rox for midi, so the midi player opens..
Replaced the write desktop Item with"Score Editor" and nted.
Removed non-music apps so the ISO is below 700 M to fit on a CD.

Next to do the same with the 64 bit addition.

I tinkered around with it. Aren't you the bright one? But it works great. But not my thing.

Now if you put a 5.8L supercharged engine and a 6-speed tranny, I could fall in love.

Yesterday I finished working on the 64 bit addition I removed non-music apps so the ISO is 700 M to fit on a CD. Keeping the Jack connection kit gui, and musecore, the jack dependent score editor.
It was a little more work than the 32 bit, but everything works great.

So far so good the 64 bit system runs well on a live disk.

I have been looking at different multimedia editors. I like LMMS but it takes some work getting use to the controls.

Here is my first attempt of editing, and making music with it.

Sounds like a guitar, an oboe, and a harmonica playing together. Great sounds.

I just added the KDE desktop to the mix.
I doubt that, I'm going to use it in the next music version. Desktop is a little heavy.

have you tried the kde plasma desktop?
I was told it was a little lighter, and it was meant for netbooks, and such.

I have tried it on the eeepc, and it works ok, but it is still on the heavy side

I really have no idea. I was told on some forum, the kde-plasma desktop was lighter, and meant for laptops, and netbooks and such.
It doesn't really look like einos pic, it has some kinda shortcut-ish"buttons" if I remember correctly?

it might be what you are talking about... but I am not really sure?
Or it might be what eino is using, with or without some setting.

I did have to install kde-plasma-desktop, or something like that, not just kde-desktop

I'm going to make some changes to the 64bit version of music distro. The 32bit version will remain the same. Seems that the addition of LMMS,(Linux Multimedia Studio) only works well with the 64 bit version. I'm still going to keep it light weight, and utilize the real time capabilities of antiX.
The desktops will remain the same, I am working on the graphics for the slim, and desktop backgrounds, adding antiX-Music to them.
Now the big job, of making it fit on a 700 mb CD.
This will be my month long project.
If anyone has any suggestions, or artwork for the distro let me know.

I managed to get , what I thought would be a month log project, almost done in a day.
I built the ISO today, and tested it. it looked good, so I uploaded it to Dave's Server tonight.
Here it is, you are welcome to try it out. .
Comments, and suggestions are welcomed.

The 64 bit ISO is the one with the changes.
