CGarces - Best to set Language at live boot as it carries over including the menus for the windows manager.

You can it up in antiX control centre -> System -> Configure system

quick note...I commented out the auto update menu script in the icewm startup file, and so far no ghost window. I did not remove any sleep commands.

Changing gtk themes via antixcc from Zukitwo to Clearlooks did not fix this. Wondering if upgrade to libgtk-3-0 is killing things

Roxterm fixed itself somehow. I was using urxvt in my previous post for readout info. Upgraded to kernel 3.9.5 since last post also.

Everything else GTK related from Geany,MtPaint,Gparted,GTK Youtube Viewer, Meta Package Installer,Wicd all work OK.

Only thing broke is gdebi-gtk and synaptic

I don't know Anti. I just checked again my sources.list to be sure and sid is commented out.

I am just going to sit out synaptic and gdebi quirks as I can live without them for now.
All my other final iso installs were stable wheezy, except for testing installs.

I bet I had sid going at one time and changed to wheezy later, but for the life of me, I don't remember

Will wait to see if things get fixed upstream later. I did the dist-upgrade with sid repos before I posted my edit. Hence the 0 stuff to be installed or upgraded.
Enabling sid pulled in some more upgrades before I edit/posted again. Sorry for the confusion.

OK. But.
Changing gtk themes via antixcc from Zukitwo to Clearlooks did not fix this
The bug issue may become moot. I think the wife wants her Acer Back now that I bought myself the Samsung Laptop. She is helping me buy the improvements for my shop so I cannot even think about saying No.

I might be seeing a Recovery Restore in the near future on this Laptop. Pity as it has 4 gig of ram.

It seems to me that

can be safely ignored and that probably is not causeing the problem. To fix however editing you themes gtk3 files, (/usr/share/themes/theme-name) in this case"gtk-widgets.css". Then on line"85" there is a value of"17", changing the value to read"17px" should fix these errors. As it says"Assuming 'px'." it is already doing this, and displaying the warning to let you know.

From my understanding doing some googling, you will need to disable the invoking of the"a11y" service (I believe it is a gnome service) or you need to install a different version of glib2..... to better match the version of gtk3 that is installed. I have not recieved the errors so I cannot tell which way would be better. __{{emoticon}}__ Perhaps one of you could run"dpkg --list > ~/packages.txt" as root and then message me the file. That way I can compare the installed packages (maybe there is one that I have and you two do not).

Are you using Wheezy repos or Testing/sid?

If using Testing or Sid you will need to change the default gtk3 theme.

For transmission you may need to remove and then re-install it

I didn't change anything at start of installation, so it is Wheezy.

Deinstalling (purge) and re-installing transmissions was not successful.
