It does. Confirming test completed successfully.anticapitalista wrote:SamK - the new installer should fix this.
Also good to see the default colour depth being set at 16 for SiS.
Just type db+ in the live boot menu (It gives a lot of verbiage that is useful for testing)chrispop99 wrote:Sorry, not sure what 'Use"db+" cheat' means.

In that case there is probably some untapped benefit for Base users. Perhaps some additional apps can be added to Meta Package Installer (MPI) that are shipped in antiX-Full. They will help users be aware of what is in Full and easily install them.anticapitalista wrote:it is for both.SamK wrote:Meta Package Installer
Is this primarily aimed at use within antiX-Full or antiX-Full+antiX-Base?
Currently it seems a bit of an odd mishmash.

wl module from Broadcom conflicts with the following modules:
#blacklist b43
blacklist b43legacy
blacklist b44
#blacklist bcma
blacklist brcm80211
blacklist brcmsmac
#lacklist ssb
blacklist wl
Last month a change was made to the BroadcomStartup script that unblacklisted some additional Broadcom pciids, so I'm surprised you still need to do that.Shay wrote:Thanks to eugen-b 's post at viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6285&start=15
modprobe b43 did the trick.

Going to have to comment out blacklist b43, ssb and bcma in etc/modprobe.d/broadcom-sth.conf

At the OS level antiX is undoubtedly efficient. That does not automatically extend into the application level. Optimum efficiency and performance requires partnering the OS with appropriate lightweight apps. Some of the apps currently in Meta Package Installer (MPI) may defeat that goal.masinick wrote:Add me to the"camp" that generally prefers modest resource use.
