on beta 3 I get a blank screen on X startup.
ctrl alt del + startx fixes it, then of course running just icewm.
(have seen same prob on xubuntu on my machine)

@coyotito, did this get better with rc1.1 or with the final release? If not then I'd like to see the output of"inxi -F" and also the /var/log/Xorg.* files.

I have antiX-15 RC 1.1 installed and I enabled"Testing" rather than the default.
I discovered that the logout for IceWM and JWM does not work at all. For IceWM, the menu changes when you select Logout; it dims the selection and adds the option,"Cancel Logout". With JWM, nothing visible happens.
To logout, I've had to use htop and then kill whatever window manager I am using, then it works fine.
Is this caused by discrepancies between the antiX packages and the Debian Testing packages by any chance?
Since the release is now available, I'll grab it and perform a default full install and see what happens.

@masinick I just booted antiX-15-rc1.1 in Virtual Box. I had no problem logging out of IceWM or JWM.
In both cases,"logout" from the main desktop menu brings me to the desktop-session-exit window which has a logout button in the top right (I think). I hit that and it logs out of X, I see a bit of text screen and then I get the SliM login screen.
How are you starting IceWM and JWM? Do you boot into them or are you starting them using the"startx" command?

I have Slim as my display manager, and I am selecting various Window Manager combinations from there.
I get into the right Window Manager OK, but the logout configuration apparently isn't set up right for whatever initialization I had.
Also, I am pretty sure that I selected Testing as my choice during installation; checking my repos, Testing is listed, but until I changed them, Jessie was enabled and Testing was commented out.
Something in the way I installed triggered a path that is not implemented correctly; if it was a"non-standard path", that;s somewhat understandable.
Slim is the only thing I can think of other than my aborted attempt to install with Testing - the installer didn't argue, but it didn't choose Testing either; it installed with Jessie; maybe something's wrong in that part of the installation configuration.

Oh, another interesting tidbit; you mention getting the desktop-session-exit window, which allows you to select what action to take. I did not get this, so for me that script was not invoked for any of the choices that I selected. I've seen it work just fine on other builds, including Beta 3 just recently, so clearly it was something I selected during my RC 1.1 installation that was not a"happy path", but a dead path that fails to invoke the desktop-session-exit window upon logout.
That's about all that I can gather right now.

OK, I just installed antiX-15 (the release), entered"Cancel" at the installation in order to choose the standard options.
I now get the JAD process when I login. Once I got it working, I added the metapackage installer and several more applications and it all works as it usually has in the past, that is, very well with no surprises at all.
Excellent job with antiX-15! I have the antiX-15-V-full-386 image; beautiful, nice job!
