No, you need to read carefully and if you have the possibility to compare with similar writings of that time. Homer's"Illias" for example. In Old Testament (which has peaceful and even romantic places) there is always a strict logic and no arbitrary use of power, taking the measures of that time. The most important role for the Old Testament in the Christian system is probably that it contains the prophecies about the Messiahs to which the Evangelists refer many many times.
If I told about computers being created by God was half-jokingly, the above is meant seriously. But I'm not going to argue with you, I can understand your position even if I don't share it.

A very good quote, a very strong one. But it not particularly about Jews as such, but about all those who not believe in the Messiah.
From theological perspective we need to keep in mind that this said Jesus himself to particular people in a particular situation. He didn't say such things to the people in his sermon on the mount and they were also Jews and other people from the region.
But if you are educated by your religious community to focus on a particular topic, then it is difficult to change. I think, it is necessary for other Christians to confess that their religious communities focus on other topics and therefore come to some different practical conclusions.

@Blurey: It would be interesting (more for yourself than for the others) to find you whether you dislike Jews for religious, ethnical or socio-political reasons.
@Alananarchy: I don't think that you would extrapolate from one religious community (U.S. Evangelicals) to to all the others. Concerning church history, well, religion was almost always a political instrument. Paul was a religious politician and a very successful one.

Well, the Inquisition isn't very active nowadays anymore. And there are not many plans to reactivate it. When I see the Pope Francis the move is actually to 'de-burocratize' __{{emoticon}}__ the Catholic church. At least the hope is there.
Religious percecution is not reserved to Catholic church, nor to Christianity, nor to Islam, nir to Judaism. Even Buddhism knows some cases of religious persecution, the latest is Myanmar.
