Thanks for the update.

I well remember
(Note that since Stretch is a moving target, libsystemd0 might get installed)

In worst cases, like yours, apps won't get installed since they are looking for systemd. Hopefully, the stretch repo will settle down again.

Please accept my belated THANKS.

Learned the Dell Latitude E6430 is just to new.
Cli-installer worked just fine, until you give it the reboot command.
It would go through the restart shutdown and hang at the Ready to Reboot.

Did a hard shutdown, booted up, logged in and installed the Basic Mate Desktop.
Again it hung on reboot. Hard shutdown, bootup and upon logging in it booted to the desktop.

From the desktop a reboot or a shutdown leads to a hang up. A hard shutdown brought me back to the cli-installer and I could not bring up the desktop..

The Dell Optiplex 755 is just to old and it would not boot from the same USB stick.

Picked this desktop up from a IT section of a college , and that is why it has a onboard and PCI nics in it.

Enjoyed today, interesting learning curve I must admit!
