The above was a test from Debian Sid; when I did not include the code tags, it worked. Next, I'll try to do it WITH the code tags. If that works, then I'll try to bring in Roky's stuff!

OK, now to see what's wrong with Roky's stuff and get it in here, piece by piece if necessary:

OK the repos trip up the parser, gonna try the inxi stuff:

OK, that means that it is definitely the repo information that is causing the failure. Let me see if I can sneak them in here somehow!

Here are MY repos in Debian Sid first; let's see if mine will go through:

(No, they won't, so that is the issue. Perhaps disabling BBCODE will get them through:

http://qt-kde.debian.net/debian/ experimental-snapshots main

trying just one URL and disabling with ALL check boxes.

Ah, that gets through, so the problem has something to do with the way that URLs are getting parsed here; definitely a bug in the freeforums software!

These are Roky's repos. Add deb in front of them.

Honing in on the problem; let me try adding in where these repos come from. In Roky's list, all except the last one are simply in the one individual file, the traditional location: sources.list . the last one is in jitsi.list

Hopefully you guys can piece together whatever you were talking about from there! Good luck! If we can file a defect report somewhere against this software, I believe that I can explain the problem, so let me know if that's possible.

Ah, it is DEFINITELY the full path of the archives - sources.list and jitsi.list that trip up this software. But some of the deb stuff also seemed to trip it up as well, so there are TWO issues here!

Here is a test to verify the problem:

In that case, here are some complete lines from Roky's stuff:

So the only thing messing up the posts are sources.list and jitsu.list - and it's the PATH, not the files, that are tripping the software.
Therefore *etc*apt*sources.list.d*jitsi.list and *etc*apt*sources.list ought to work!

Yes, the issue is a leading /

/ works but not /etc / (I had to add a space for it to post)

The issue is a software bug.
