To install the drivers for nvidia use the sgfxi script.

1. Ctrl Alt F1 (or whatever) to get to a shell
2. Login as root
3. sgfxi
4. sgfxi should automatically find and install the driver

Ran sgfxi once for each type of card, and then modified xorg.conf and it worked, thanks __{{emoticon}}__
