Hello,
I have just done a fresh install of antix 16 (64 bit) and was downloading updates it tells me unable to find Dave's server and some updates failed to download and install. __{{emoticon}}__
How will this affect my antix 16 which I just installed.
Is this a temporary thing or is Dave's server no longer around.
Thanks

What is the error and does it show any errors if you look up the url in the browser?
Anticapitalista just notified me that the signing key expired, but that should not cause a lack of connection.

Ok I've seen this same thing in other distros when the signing key expired.
I'll wait until it's all back up.
Thanks __{{emoticon}}__
All it says is that some updates failed to download / unable to connect to dave's server.Dave wrote:What is the error and does it show any errors if you look up the url in the browser?

It should show up in a dist-upgrade/upgrade, but if we are afraid to do the whole upgrade at that time then
apt-get update && apt-get -f install antix-archive-keyring.
That did not working for me. It writes antix-archive-keyring is already the newest version, but when I try to upgrade again shows signature error.

Wait for the deb to propagate to your repo if you are not using the default US one, or make the change manually shown in the links in Dave's post.

I fixed mine on AntiX 15 with commenting out Daves stable jessie repo and enabling Daves testing repo. Then only installing
Saying yes to over write old.
I then commented out Daves Testing repo <pound sign in front it> in etc/apt/sources.list.d/antix and then re-enabled the Daves stable repo <removed pound sign> and did
To bring everything back to stock again.
I am just posting what I did for ANTIX 15 users. Not ANTIX 16 users or MX-16 users. I feel I should mention this fact since this is a ANTIX 16 thread.
Code: Select all
Start-Date: 2017-03-14 10:15:17
Commandline: apt-get install antix-archive-keyring
Upgrade: antix-archive-keyring:i386 (20015.3.14, 20017.3.14)
End-Date: 2017-03-14 10:15:24

Then apt-get install antix-archive-keyring?
I just did this successfully on a fresh antiX-1.1 install.
How about apt-get purge antix-archive-keyring apt-get update apt-get install antix-archive-keyring
