My question is when will Dave's server be back to normal running as for some of us applying all of these fixes either aren't working or we aren't applying them right and it's just frustrating. __{{emoticon}}__

I know complain complain complain __{{emoticon}}__ only asking that is all. __{{emoticon}}__

Thanks

hello anticapitalista and everyone
the purge keyring, update, install keyring method worked here. Shay clearly paved the way for machine here to get it on the first trial (not the eleventh.) Thanks for all the reports and solution. Thanks again for the work it takes to deliver antix.

Have you tried downloading the deb directly from the site and installing using dpkg -i ?

dpkg -i was the answer for the 4th one.

Maybe you have to recreate the package lists. First run

Code: Select all

rm -rf /var/lib/apt/lists/*
to delete the lists (if this makes you afraid, better back them).

Then rewrite the lists with

Code: Select all

apt-get update

OK, after about 12 attempts, I finally got Dave server available... What I did again in latest successful attempt:
1. Purged antix-archive-keyring

Code: Select all

apt-get purge antix-archive-keyring
2. Removed package lists

Code: Select all

rm -rf /var/lib/apt/lists/*
3. Downloaded manually package

and installed it using sudo gdebi
4. Updated package lists

Code: Select all

apt-get update
Then it worked FINALLY!!!
One note, If you check the package antix-archive-keyring status, you should see Version: 20017.3.14 only! If you see Version 20017.3.14 and 20015.3.14, it will not work properly!

Code: Select all

P.S. While using antiX Linux, I wonder, why some important things are so difficult to perform?

I used a subset of the instructions regarding updating the GPG keys, except that I only updated the most recently-expired key. The rest was a usual update and upgrade.
