"MX-14"Symbiosis" is a special version of antiX developed in full collaboration with the Mepis Community and using the best tools and talents from each distro. It is a midweight OS designed to combine an elegant and efficient desktop with simple configuration, high stability, solid performance and medium-sized footprint.

We think you will enjoy it!

MX-14 is based on Debian 7"Wheezy" and enhanced with more up to date applications from debian-backports and MEPIS Community repository.

Includes:

Linux kernel 3.12 pae 32 bit
Xfce 4.10

Hi! Will you please include support for non-pae architecture? My Thinkpad R51 need it and I think many old computers also need it.
Well, I'm lucky that I can count on antiX 13 for that...
Thanks!

Likely PAE distro will run on most old machines as it only allows for using 4GB of ram or more; at least, that is my understanding of it.

I'm uploading a newer non-pae since there was an issue with the other one. It should be ready in about 4 hours from now. (It is 12.30 Greek time)

Why no 64 bit ?

antiX is a light-weight distro and is available in 64 bit.

MX-14 is described as a mid-weight distro, so it seems even more like a good candidate for 64 bit.

Lack of time.
So did you not know that life sucks and then you die, and the older you get the less time you have left?

Probably all software packages would also have to be compiled against 64bit libraries.
