Could you try installing nvidia via smxi qith 3.7.10-antix.2 or any 3.8 kernel. Make sure you have the correct headers first. smxi should remove any old Debian nvidia stuff though.

This is the 3.8.2.-antix.2 kernel on my hard drive install. I could't see any noticeable difference from the 3.8.2-antix-1 kernel in ram usage or automounting USB's.
