Hello @ anti,

I am yesterday a dist-upgrade with the new kernel 3.1.5
down.

There were 674 updated packages.
Among others there was ndiswrapper 1:56> 1:57 here ...

Since then the error is corrected on my picture above!

It just gave an error with the package myspell-el-gr, what I need anyway.

Good work! __{{emoticon}}__

If I am running antiX set to 'stable' +backports and NOT the default 'testing' repro... Can I still test this 3.1-mepis kernel?

I am currently using the squeeze+backports kernel of: 2.6.39-bpo-2

You can, though check that cpp-4.6, gcc-4.6 and gcc-4.6-base are/can be installed.

Let us know how it works.

Just installed in my AntiX 11 testing 3 (I never installed latest AntiX11 on this laptop) on my Panasonic CF-48 Toughbook.

I uninstalled dkms first since ndiswrapper is not needed on this Laptop. Wireless booted up and connected in Wicd right off the bat like in my Liqourix 2.6.38 kernel install on this Laptop.

PI =Pentium I
k5/k6 = AMD k5/k6

They are old processors.

Tap, sound, wireless, all work on this laptop and my Panasonic in above post also. Lighted keyboard works also on this laptop. This is AntiX 8.5 core iso with LXDE running. Liqourix 2.6.38 is my backup kernel. Short test as I just installed this seconds ago.

Thought I’d throw this in. Just noticed that the antiX 3.1.5 testing Kernel recognized two of my ISA sound cards, a SoundBlaster 16 and a ‘no-name’, and that I can playback . Used the K6 boxes, headphones and some silly wav files.

I am quite late to the plate here, but I am about to test the latest 3.3 kernel, and I have antiX 12.0 Test 2 base installed.

At the moment, I have a recent Liquorix kernel installed, but I'd be glad to try out the new 3.3 kernel that is intended to go in the release (and if it's really good, I'll keep it!) __{{emoticon}}__ If there are issues with it, I will be glad to report them and try out later versions.

Here is my inxi information for my setup:
