Future persistence will be faster to boot than it is now. Also you won't need 2 separate partitions.
Anyhow, glad persistence is working out ok. It was our first attempt at it and, despite its limitations, it does do what it is supposed to do.

How did you get the menu bar sitting on top of the screen. Great job and looks fantastic.

thanks and to get the menu bar on top of the screen you have to:
menu->desktop->icewm->icewm control center->taskbar position->top of screen
i think i also remember having to restart icewm. and that's it!
