antiX2usb will run antiX like a live cd on a usb device. You should be able to install antiX to a usb hard drive using the usual installer. Just make sure you choose the correct one and install grub to the MBR of the usb drive not your hard drive. You might then need to edit the grub depending on how your bios sees the external drives.

You've been following up with this thread since the beginning and if you remember, we (me and you guys) had tried all what we can to make it work but it did not.
I disconnected all my internal HDDs on my PC, took the HDD of that laptop out, put it on the USB Enclosure, connected to my PC and turned the PC on.
Obviously, GRUB was installed in the MBR of the USB Drive because there is no other drive anyway.
That what I had done months back when I started this thread and it did not work at all.
If the antiX2usb will work as a LiveCD then I don't think it will work nor the laptop will be bootable when I'll put back the HDD to that laptop.
On a side note, I have:
Lubuntu 10.04
Mint 9 LXDE
Fedora 13 LXDE
installed on my PC ( P4 - 512MB RAM).
The RAM usage according to htop is:
72-75MB for Lubuntu
102-105MB for Mint
122-125MB for Fedora
I did not know that LXDE could be so much light like that. It looks lighter than Fluxbox in Mint.
Was also trying to install SliTaz but just like antiX, I couldn't use the regular installer to install SliTaz to that USB HDD which then will be used inside the laptop.
