Great ideas! Keep them coming!
Here is an idea of the theme in antiX-M8. It still needs working on, but what do you think?
Idea 1 based on impuwatt's eco-green
========= SCRAPER REMOVED AN EMBEDDED LINK HERE ===========
url was:"http://www.box-look.org/content/preview.php?preview=1&id=75365&file1=75365-1.jpg&file2=&file3=&name=Eco-Green"
linktext was:"http://www.box-look.org/content/preview ... =Eco-Green"
====================================
" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false
idea 2 based around using the glass-icon set. (wallpaper needs changing)

Here's an icewm theme that sorta compliments anti's theme:
We're also working on a swish green theme based on impuwat's echo-green theme.

Sorry, it's hard to find a complimentary icewm theme for that one, anti. I'm not really enthusiastic about the one I just posted. I like our green direction better.

I might be able to modify an iceWM theme to complement the eco-green fluxbox. I've been studying iceWM theme construction for the last week and have been working up to attempting some iceWM themes.
iceWM theme development looks to be more time intensive than fluxbox. Definitely more pixmaps. There are some interesting possibilities for design though. I'll be gone on vacation for 5 days or so through next week so it will take me a little while to get to it. I'll keep you posted on my progress. Even if the decision is not to go green it will be a nice learning exercise.

I was thinking about terminal replacements. Wterm's transparency is a bit buggy on icewm. I tried using lxterminal, but it doesn't seem as powerful. Roxterm seems heavy. I looked at some lightweight distros and they tend to use rxvt or mrxvt. I have used both and they are both powerful. Mrxvt has transparency and tabs and seems light on my system. What do you think?

i don't want to be rude, my apologies if i am. anti that shade of grey in the theme for antiX m8 looks like something from the starting years of the gui.i think it would be a turn-off for a new antix user. maybe if we try another color?

I like the glass-icon set, anti. I think it will look nice with a variety of themes.

Isn't it time we added, at least, a note-taker/outliner (like gjots2) or, at best, a desktop wiki like Zim? (I think this has been discussed for previous antiXes). Zim is pretty small and easy to figure out (but comes with a noob-friendly help file). In fact, some"simpler" outliners are harder to figure out than the more robust Zim.
I think a desktop wiki has enormous appeal for those who want a lot of functionality in a tight space.

Erie - I added your lshw-gtk button in the antixcc. You forgot to mention that it needs to be installed.

I like the idea of adding gjots2 (linked under Office) if there is room.
