Hey, shoutout to Anti - Nice work on the new Antix v4 kernels! I just fired up 4.0.0-antix.1-486-smp on my Dell D620 & it's working great so far! I've been running 3.19-5.dmz.1-liquorix-686 (and keeping up2date with the Liquorix kernels, since I'm only a desktop user (no servers) and I believe they use the Con Kolivas patches which improve desktop optimization), but this latest Antix kernel starts up 99meg SMALLER while seeming pretty much just as snappy! Would be true gravy if you were able to offer the CC patches as an addon package, but I'm sure that'd be a lot of work! One other question, My box has Intel graphics, wondering if the gnu-antix version would work just as well for me? Anyway, thanks again!!

Yet another happy Antix abUser.

I have a few 4.0 kernels on my system; can't remember if I updated antiX 15 with the latest (probably not; I usually post here when I do, so I've got to squeeze in a few moments and make sure these kernels work on my hardware).

Then again, I seldom encounter any issues at all that seriously affect the operation of antiX software.
Most defects are application defects and those are not very common in the software that I happen to use, and I'm not expecting that to change - one of the many reasons that I use antiX in the first place is that it works so well for me!

I did finally get to test the antiX 4.0 kernel over the weekend on my Gateway 2000 Series PA6A 17" portable. It worked fine as I expected. I did not generate an inxi snapshot, but it's the same system I've used here before and reported on, with no hardware changes. Still works fine; in fact I checked out both antiX 15 Beta and MX-14 over the weekend and both work fine.
