Many bug fixes from beta1.
* Default is now light look. F6 at boot menu to select dark.
* antiX 4.0.0 kernel
* simplified menu layout suggested by SamK
* new menu-editor by SamK
* timed wallpaper bug fix
* built using devuan debootstrap
* new iso-snapshot application - heavily based on mx-snapshot
* more options added to antiX control centre. (Probably overkill)
* many more I have forgotten about.
Added an antiX-15-beta3-core version for both 32 and 64 bit. This uses sysvinit and is set up to block systemd.
topic title: antiX-15-beta3 available.

just wanted to point out that there was some concerns about ext4 corruption in the 4.0.x series kernels. It affected ext4 raid setups.

I am grabbing both the antiX-15-beta3-V_386-full.iso image and the antiX-15-beta3-core version as well, antiX-15-beta3-V_386-core-libre.iso. The Core image has already been downloaded, and the full image is cranking away, downloading quickly at this time of the evening.

All done, and ready to test 'em both out; will probably burn both images tonight; not sure I'll get to test them tonight though, but I'll do it ASAP.

Casual downloaders will be dismayed (lost) when it doesn't match their expectation (and the in-page screenshots)
Uh oh -- because core was the most recently added file, button on sf page is linking to the 'core' iso.Added an antiX-15-beta3-core version.

It's not that big of a deal. When there are a lot of ISO images available on any given page, I always look through all of them and decide which ones I want. Sometimes I'll want a couple of them; on some other distribution pages, when I see what they are offering, I do not choose any of them. In our case, I like the particular choices and varieties we offer, and I nearly always choose at least two or three of the choices to try out, and I use each of them for different, specific scenarios, where they closely fit my specific interests and needs.
To me anyone who is visiting a download page ought to be able to read and navigate the page, choosing what makes the most sense. If someone idly clicks without thought or consideration, they get what they click - a random choice that may or may not make any sense at all for them, even if it represents a well designed package or system.

Thanks for the solution!
In hindsight I see that this is associated with the feature that by default we only look for the linuxfs file on cd/dvd and usb devices (associated with the default from=usb,cd). This is to avoid needlessly mounting internal partitions when we don't even have the correct time set yet. You can probably get the first one to work if you add the cheat from=hd. This will cause us to only look on the internal partitions. You could even use from=all to have us look everywhere. You would add these in the bootloader.
OTOH, it is probably best to tell qemu-kvm that the iso file is a cdrom device since it will act like one anyway (read-only, for example).

Looks very nice, but: RAM usage has more than dobuled since Antix 13! It is now 130MB directly after booting into the desktop.
