Posting this from MX-14.2 non-pae. AntiX 14R a2 successfully boots but the cpu is continually maxed out at 100%,even idling at the desktop. Basically unusable. MX-14.2 idles at 2%.
Boot live cd (or install if you were daring enough at 100% cpu) into init level 3 (At the grub line at" 3" without the" )
log in as root ( live cd user root password root )
type: cd /usr/local/bin (press enter)
type: mv desktop-session desktop-session.bk (press enter)
type: wget
