I installed the 12.5-alpha2 i486 base on a netbook. I noticed during installation that popups were labeled with"minstall" or something similar. These dialog boxes appeared when installing grub and confirmation of hard drive formatting. Otherwise very smooth.

What would you like those window titles to be?

Perhaps they could be titled with something like"antiX installer". I believe the"minstall" titles are holdovers from when antix used mepis tools such as minstall. Retitling these windows would make it seem the installer was more of an antix tool.

Is it possible just to update from alpha1 to alpha2?

I don't think Anti made any Delta files for testing. If test 1 is working for you OK. I would just as root in terminal or via smxi

Code: Select all

apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade
Problem is. I don't think the developer repos are enabled so no changes from antix1 test to antix2 test will be accomplished going that route.

Guess I should post my other testing install on my wireless IBM M57 Desktop PC. The wallpaper signifies how AntiX may look small on top but is way huge unseen underneath.

I think I ran into this on test1 but blamed it on the having no floppy drive but I figured google would serve me better on this one this time since this is test2.

I am impressed what is the latest 64bit version so i can test I have alpha 2 i think also can you add more File Systems in the install like XFS or JFS that would be nice also the latest from all FS would be neat as well like reiserFS4 I think this would be awsome.
