you can use the"flashplayer-selector.sh" script included with antix to revert to an older version of flash. The"10" series should still work for older machine. I have not had any problems with youtube with the older flash ( at least not yet).

You could see the video up to before the update, with the older version of flash.
And I do not understand why, you can not reinstall flash?

@Dolphin

Okay so?

Code: Select all

Flash Player Selector
Options:
Cancel - Exit without making any changes
Download - Obtain and install the latest version
Revert   - Re-install a previously installed version

What do you want to do?
1) Cancel
2) Download
3) Revert
Enter the number of your selection: 3
/usr/local/bin/flashplayer-selector.sh: line 97: update-flashplugin-nonfree: command not found
 is currently installed

Which of the previously installed versions do you want to re-install?
1) /var/cache/flashplugin-nonfree/flashplayer_10_3r183_61_linux.tar.gz
2) /var/cache/flashplugin-nonfree/get-upstream-version.pl
3) /var/cache/flashplugin-nonfree/install_flash_player_11_linux.i386.tar.gz
Enter the number of your selection: 1
tar: libflashplayer.so: funzione"open" non riuscita: File giĆ  esistente
tar: Uscita con stato di fallimento in base agli errori precedenti

/usr/local/bin/flashplayer-selector.sh: line 114: update-flashplugin-nonfree: command not found
 is installed

There are errors, you should try a new install Flash again.

You will probably have to search Adobe archives for flashplugin 10.3, and then install that manually. I had to do this on my JUNKBOX to see any videos. Adobe wants everyone (except Linux users) to update to the newest and greatest.

Once you have found the older flashplugin, install it like the installation file says. It's a PITA, but once you get it installed, keep a copy handy (and all your notes on installation) on a usb or cd for later. Any updates sometimes will mess with the flashplugin, and suddenly you are back to square one.

I do not understand why the version 10 is installed on this computer, but it does not work, how to install it manually?

@ Dolphin
I tried to root terminal, but same result. On your AMD Duron flash still works?

.
You only have to copy and paste the first five or six lines in the white blocks.The second white block is one line.

It`s the flash from the adobe archives and exactly the same as on the antix-live-cd .I used it for ubuntu.It works.

what file should I download?

playerglobal.swc archives
Flash player 10.3 (299KB)

or

Flash archives
Release and Content Debugger archives
Attention: Read for important changes to Flash Player 10.3
(Released 6/11/2013) Flash Player 10.3.183.90 (61.1 MB)

or

Older archives
Flash Player 10.1 (81.7 MB)

I have to first remove from synaptic or new install flashplugin-nonfree

Thanks. __{{emoticon}}__

This is the download and installation:

Code: Select all
$ unzip fp_10.3.183.43_archive.zip && cd fp_10.3.r183.43_archive/10_3_r183_43/
$ tar -xvzf flashplayer_10_3r183_43_linux.tar.gz && cd flashplayer_10_3r183_43_linux
$ sudo mkdir -p /opt/flashplugin-nonfree/v10.3.183.43
$ sudo cp libflashplayer.so /opt/flashplugin-nonfree/v10.3.183.43/

Code: Select all
sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/flash-mozilla.so flash-mozilla.so /opt/flashplugin-nonfree/v10.3.183.43/libflashplayer.so 10

Code: Select all
sudo update-alternatives --config flash-mozilla.so

You can try this and normally it should work.But maybe there is something strange going on,because you said you have sound and no picture.

If you want to try other versions of flash:
1. Remove current version
2. Download version you want to use
3. Put the .so file in ~/.mozilla/plugins (which you can create if it does not exist)

if I download the file 32-bit. Deb (For Debian / Ubuntu)
and then try to install it from the root terminal (from inside the folder) with the command:

Code: Select all

root@antiX1:/var/tmp
# sudo dpkg -i google-chrome-stable_current_i386.deb
dpkg: Error: another process holding the lock dpkg status database
root@antiX1:/var/tmp
#
I can not install the. Deb package from the terminal.
I wanted to try to install Chrome because it says that the plugin has integrated unlike Chronium and Iceweasel.

you get that error if you have synaptic open at the same time as you try to use apt or dpkg.

I have a video on installing chrome so I know it will work.
