Just as a confirmation, I have it working on an old dual core 12" TFT laptop & also on a 10" netbook. I think it looks better on a wide screen, the menu bar feels like it is intruding on a 4:3 screen. I wasn't that keen on it when I first saw it, but it seems to grow on you, given a bit of time. __{{emoticon}}__

I guess it is a bit annoying on a 4x3 but it is pretty nice on the netbook, imo? (1024x600)

I agree. at 4:3 screen, I would probably switch to a horizontal bar. I've come to really like the vertical bar on the wide screens though.

Confirmation; yes, I like it best with Horizontal Panel on 4:3 & 5:4 screens, thanks. (Vertical on wide TFT.) __{{emoticon}}__

Working on a Dell 2350 (P4) Default DE is having odd issue with dissapearing letters in menus so for now I am running MX14 with LXDE as the WM.It runs very quick, video is stuttering but expected cause built in graphics are slooooooow. Laptop still has Antix 13.2 Icewm+rox.

Made the leap last night and replaced Ubuntu LTS on my media server with MX14. System is a DELL 4700 P$ 2.80 GHZ HT.(LInux see's it as 2 COREs althought I don't think P4's were ever true dual cores. Anyway MX14 looks great so far; still need to play with settings and get my desktop tweaked. I added the following programs.

ripperX - works great
Firefox-sorry but qupzilla just is still too buggy for me to depend on.
Shotwell-works great.
Supertux and Supertuxcart-Work great

XBMC - stuttery video which is odd cause in Ubuntu it was smooth/will play with settings later and see what is causing this.

I did no get the disappearing characters in menus on this system like I have on the other Dell (2350) installation.

Overall very impressed with the speed. The system plays nice with my Logitech K400 wireless keyboard which is a must cause I sit acroos the room to use the PC; MX14 looks great on a large (55") monitor.
