ive yet to find a linux distro to boot up and run on my dell,ive been using antix ever since the very first one.the only one that works is slitaz.i wish i could antix or anything else to boot up and run. the first one was called flepis and i still have the cd __{{emoticon}}__

dell optiplex 260 p4 1.5gb memory ,motherboard is dell.

The newest releases have a cli installer, and now you have the choice to download core, base or full install.

On some Dells with onboard video, you must go into the bios and enable the video ram memory setting to the higher setting, I think you have a choice of either 1 or 8 mb.. If you don't have this in your bios, it is possible you will need to upgrade your bios to the latest version.
I could not get my Dell lappies to boot anti-X or Mepis unless I did this.
Worth a look anyway....

nope didnt works as soon as it gets to udev then the errors start up. i tried all the boot options.

Hmmm, if you are showing video memory to be 8MB and have tried all the minimal boot options, I guess I would continue to disable any other on-board cards ie: modem, net card and see what happens. Finally if that doesn't work, I would disable the on-board video card and pop in an external video card.

ya i set it at 8mb and still came up with errors and wont boot. thanks for trying though.ill try the other suggestions to see.

still no luck in getting the cd to boot on this thing.good thing i run vmplayer.
