Having a hard time googling answers on setting dockapp placement.
Oroborus-wm has no slit/dock.
i'm thinking of use of these small apps to save screen space over conky - only have 600x400 screen resolution.
the"doc" for wmbattery did'nt have anything.

On saving space"xbatterybar" is great - a thin line bar at the bottom
you can watch levels and still have apps open all the way.
some of the old apps are really fit the bill on size (over looks)

I installed wmmount and launched it. It"docked" itself in the lower right corner of my screen within a window. Next I installed and launched wmmixer. This time it launched in the lower left corner in it's own window. Finally, I searched and couldn't find any app in synaptic that would act as a slit. So I'll google around and see what I can come up with. In the meantime, you may want to check out gkrellm. Thanks.

You might want to look at"docker" via synaptic/apt-get. It's supposed to work with any WM.

That caught my eye as well. I found a web page and looked at some screenshots. I don't think it's what we're looking for since it creates not a slit but a system tray. I'm afraid you'll need to use dockapps in fluxbox.

-g 64x64+10+10

the 64x64 seams to hardwired then the z and y?
or is it x?

the flag -g usually indicates the geometry - or dimensions - of the window in pixels. the + 10 +10 may have something to do with the placement of the window.
