Hello:
This is a small problem, but I can't get wireless to autoconnect on reboot or re-log in. It sees the connection but I have to go into wicd and click connect. I setup the MEPIS network tool to autoconnect.

Any ideas?
Best regards,

Is wicd enabled to start during boot? You should see it in the boot messages, just before login.

Also, as root
cd /etc/init.d/wicd stop
cd /etc/init.d/wicd start

Hi anti:

thanks for the help. wcid does appear when booting. Also, I tried the shell comands (from root) and it did not fix this.

there were some big changes in the last update of wicd. Anti posted a how-to to fix it and it may help you.

Isn't there some sort of drop-down menu (when you expand the options next to your preferred network) that has this option enable wicd at startup?
