how do i get the right driver, firmware and how do i installed it.
here is my ifconfig ouput, I tried all other commands to see whats loaded but no luck.
Hopefully you could guide me to the right direccion.

Welcome aboard.

We will need to know the chip in your wifi to be able to help.
Usual things needed are the output from inxi -F &/or dmesg.

Open Wicd. Under wireless preferences type in eth2. Hit refresh. If you see your router. Connect.

Still need a

Code: Select all

inxi -F
though from you so we can see your computer and install.

The last few lines of

Code: Select all

dmesg | tail

will be helpful also.

Howdy and Welcome.

Which changed wlan0 to eth2 as wifi interface.
