I've tried all the repositories I can think of (I'm using latest antix 3.2) and can't find chromium anywhere (except a game), though I see posts from other users who've installed it. What repo do I need to get it? (I'm set to"testing").

Thanks!

I just opened Synaptic. And then searched for chromium. It was the first on the list.

/ etc/apt/sources/debian.lst

Code: Select all

# Note:If you want maximum stability, only use the default stable/wheezy repos.
# Wheezy is the new stable release and will only recieve security
# updates, while Testing will be 'rolling'.

# Debian Stable. Default for antiX-13,13.1,13.2
# Use for maximum stability INSTEAD of the 'rolling' TESTING release concept.
deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ wheezy main contrib non-free
deb http://security.debian.org/ wheezy/updates main contrib non-free
# deb-src http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ wheezy main contrib non-free

# Debian Testing. Default for antiX-13.5R.
# Testing enabled for 'rolling' release.
# deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ testing main contrib non-free

Thanks. I'm using testing, but switched synaptic to just the 2 stable repositories you have here, still no joy, just"chromium-bsu" -"fast pased arcade..."

it seams that chromium is removed from testing at the moment, some problems with the dependencies.

you can install it either from stable or unstable. in unstable i think that it will bring changes to other packages.
or try to install google chrome from their web site, until chromium is added back in testing.
also after you add a new repository don't forget to reload the package list either in synaptic or via apt (apt-get update)

Fixed - Made sure I had all"stable","testing", and"wheezy" repos set up, no Sid or special software, it is there now & I have it installed, and it seems to be working properly.
