topic title: When playing a video, the sound plays but video is blue?

Hi all,

So yeah, when I play a video file(it worked yesterday I believe) the video file opens and starts playing(mplayer or VLC) the sound is fine, yet there is absolutely no video going on there?

Funny part is. My screenshot is showing a blue screen but mplayer is playing the movie just fine, video and sound, though the screen shot is blue for mplayer. I don't know why antix screenshot,sh can't pick up the movie"let the bullets fly" .avi even though it is working for me.

My gnome-mplayer preferences are set to x11 for video output also.

Better screenshot showing my gnome-mplayer working also. screenshot.sh at least picked up that instead of showing a blue screen.
