Hi,

I just installed an ubuntu Jaunty installation from their minimal install CD. Never gonna go back to a full install CD again, I think, because I really like this installation. I installed xorg, xterm, gdm, gnome-core, synaptic, and went from there.

I would like to do the same thing for my laptop using AntiX, but I was wondering if there was a basic tutorial like the one that I followed for my ubuntu installation from the minimal install CD:

========= SCRAPER REMOVED AN EMBEDDED LINK HERE ===========
url was:"http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/minimal"
linktext was:"http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/minimal"
====================================

and also if the AntiX core/base install CD would put me at roughly the same starting point as the ubuntu minimal installation CD did.

linktext was:"https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Insta ... /MinimalCD"

Thanks! Projects like yours, #!Crunchbang and PCLinuxOS LXDE / TinyMe are where it is at in Linux, right now, I believe. Very Cool.

has a complete list of what is included in antiX-M8.2-base.

A quick summary though.
antiX-base has:
Xorg
fluxbox
iceweasel
rox-filer
epdfview
leafpad
nano
All MEPIS assistants

It is meant to give users a basic, but usuable and quick to install base to start from.
