Anyone got a quick and easy explanation of what a"Slit" is in Fluxbox? Or a link to that information?

I tried searching on YouTube but got nowhere fast on that one.

No rush on this. This is in the"nice to know" category.

Thanks!

I just wanted to see if I could find a video showing how it works. No joy there, though.

I'll read through that link you posted and see if I can figure it out.

its an invisible area of the fluxbox desktop. Its designed for things like dockapps, originally window maker dockapps, plus some other things.

Gives me something to try tinkering with some time.

Just a quick piece of advice (if you don't already do it);

when"tinkering" with desktop elements, create a new user and use him/her/it for the tinkering. If you stuff it up, can't recover old desktop or worse; just blow the user away and start again.

good luck,
greywolf.

That's a good idea!
Never thought of before. __{{emoticon}}__

I'll do that if I start experimenting, though.

Thanks for that.
