Minor issue with the metapackage installer on the 64 bit full iso. The"nonfree" libdvdcss2 and w32codecs entry is not quite appropriate for the 64bit version, as the codecs package is w64codecs instead of w32codecs.
workaround: enable deb-multimedia repo manually and add libdvdcss2 and w64codecs from synaptic/apt-get.
If you are using the"testing" repos, libdvdcss2 is in the default repos. It is not in Jessie.

Which file has been changed? I would like to confirm that the mirror has the new one after the next sync around 6:30 pm EST.

install-meta-antix_0.6.5.1_amd64.deb
It should come through with an apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
Or manually via dpkg

#8just wondering...
Should we stay with apt-get, or should we use apt, or doesn't it matter?

Since you are in Europe and if you enabled a European locale, then you might have to wait for the nl mirror to catch up before you see the upgrade.

this has been a very interesting thread and possibly should not be allowed to die a .....don't know what, kind of death, for future questions, just a thought.

There is now a program at /sbin/localize-repo which localizes both the Debian repo and the MX/antiX repos. It runs on the live boot basing the selection on your timezone (which is set by the F2 language choice, as well as by F3). These changes should carry over to installed systems.
We put a mirror in Europe to make system updates run faster. The downside is there is now a slight delay when we change MX/antiX packages for the changes to propogate to the European mirror.
antiX and MX are not Debian. They are built on Debian and use the Debian repos but they also have their own repos for antiX and MX specific packages.Alanarchy wrote:Silly question, but why, when Debian is based in Germany and the two countries are so close?
