Very handy. Using your vortex1 as wallpaper and (modified with a darker blue box where the slim WM options
show up and are now a little more visible) slim background.
Why? A reminder (and show off) that I'm really using antiX when using eg Gnome or KDE, um, environments.
Ya, I installed gnome-lite and kde-lite per antiX's virtuosity as flexibility. Bad grammar, scuse moi.

drg,

Glad you found it worthy, I only recently began to play with the Gimp and am learning as I go, hope to produce some better quality stuff in the future.

cheers,

Yikes, the GIMP (written in big creepy letters!). That has got to be one of the very first gui linux apps ever;
had a version 0.99 -in Red Hat 3.x- or was it Turbolinux? 1997. I'm still frightened of it.
Did my modification of your vortex1 using a much lesser app, 'tho I don't know if it could do such a masterly work of art.
Drawing and graphic arts are major lacks within my abilities; thanks for the artwork; swirling into the vortex.

Looks a bit similar to this blue vortex wallpaper:
