Could those trying out antiX-M7.2-beta and preview1 let me know if dvd playback works OOTB.
On my box it works ok, but some users seem to have problems.

Works for me, other than a couple of DVD's that refuse to play.

djrsml, thanks for the feedback.
For those that refuse to play, try opening a terminal and typing
mplayer /dev/cdrom or
mplayer /dev/sr0 or
mplayer /dev/dvd
depending how antiX sees your dvd player.

Tried playing the two DVD's again, following your instructions.
Both DVD's refused to play, so I'd say that they are both bad!
this is not the first time that I've had problems with them.
Thanks danny

I have a standard desktop and use audio more than video. Audio - xmms - worked OOTB. First time I tried video the audio stopped working. Got it working again by reinstalling alsa. After that both vidio and audio worked - but I am getting multiple images on screen if I expand the screen when viewing a dvd.
I will install vcd and compare the video and let you know.
Otherwise, preview1 is working great - a great distribution!
Thanks.
