ok, i copy /var/cache/apt/archives from thumb drive to an new computer.
now whats the right way to install the debs.
installing them one at a time sucks.

I can only think that you could in some way make a list of all packages and put them all in the install command.

Use synaptic to select the apps. The cache should should be seen.

using an 8.5 test1 base install with lenny"minimalist" goal.
feh for wallpaper and other lite apps.
I'll see if dselect can do it.
It looks much like aptitude but smaller.
