I use this samba app in MX14 and love it. Very simple and easy to setup. Can I use it in Antix instead of using the Spacefm or Connectshares method?

IF it is in apt/synaptic. I see no reason why not. You might have to make a launcher by hand is the only difference.
Easy as pie to to in fluxbox rox desktop.
Just drag and drop from /usr/bin to the desktop and set up a pretty icon on it using right click on bin file on the desktop.
Like Puppy and JWM. Same goes for JWM rox-desktop or Icewm rox-desktop.
