I'd like to connect to a printer that's on the wife's M$XP. it's an HP Officejet 6110 all-in-one with fax, scanner, copier and printer. The printer is connected directly to her computer by a USB cable, so I need to be able to connect to her computer and get hold of the printer somehow. Is there a tutorial for this somewhere?
I thinik she needs to do something in Winblows ..... like share the printer somehow, but I'm not sure exactly how to do that, I'll have to look into that. Other than that, what do I need to do in antiX?
antiX 8.5

In XP, go to START>SETTINGS>PRINTERS and right click on your printers icon. Enable sharing and XP will probably want to download a couple files before the printer is shared.
In anti-X, you will need to install smbclient if you want to access windows printer shares via SMB. You also need to install the hplip driver package.
Once you do this, install your printer by using the anti-X control center or via your web browser and localhost:631
