My old laptop with antiX8.5 is wireless by using a USB plug-in. I also have a USB flash drive.
Neither one of them are lit and they don't show up in the control center. If I can't get them to work, I won't have wireless. Other than that, I like everything else about antiX. Is there a way I can get my USB working. Sorry if these are dumb questions, I'm still pretty new to Linux, but have had no USB problems with my Ubuntu 10.4 on my newer laptop.

Pcmanfm usually picks up my usb sticks without a problem. In rox, you can find the folder called Media (need to click up from your home directory), and see if your usb is listed in the folder, then click on it to mount it.

by starting using linux, I had few problems with USB recognized, too. I experienced the best hardware recognition with knoppix live cd. It helped me to see that a hw was present and recognized. Later, I found everytime the solution how to make the usb recognized in different forums ("mount /media/sda1" with line command or use other boot menues).

Update: my next project will be to make working my usb wlan, too (after solving issues with fstab + wicd install). I already made working my usb wlan adapter on my pc with puppy linux and TinyCoreLinux (both ndiswrapper and wpa_supplicant), so, I think it must be ok with antiX with the same applications.
