Can I upgrade antix 12.5 to 13? I checked the repo and didn't see anything.

I think you will be OK. Back up your data as usual just in case.

So I just install it from usb and I will be fine or what because it took me forever to set samba and some other stuff up that with the same settings came 2 results so I just don't want to screw that up.

As you said 'upgrade' I thought you were talking about using apt-get dist-upgrade.
NO! Installing from cd/pendrive will overwrite all your work, you need to back up all your config files, so that they can be re used. Normally everything in /etc, unless you have added config files elsewhere, if so, copy them as well.
If you want to upgrade, back up as above (just in case), change your sources.list to Wheezy, then run as the root user, apt-get update, apt-get dist-upgrade.
Your system will be brought upto date using your present configuration.
(There is always a slight risk, that is why you should always back up important files.)
Edit: I am assuming that you have a separate /home partition, (if not, you will have to back that up as well if you re-install).

Beta 13 should be using Wheezy, so just confirm your sources.list says Wheezy & not Testing, then run apt-get update, followed by apt-get dist-upgrade. (All as the root user.)
Edit: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/debian.list
Edit: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/debian.list

I think it keeps the name, even if everything is updated to a newer version? I am not sure, but I think so?

You can change the name by edting /etc/issue and /etc/issue.net I think it was. I did it one time when I 'mintified' Ubuntu. Problem with this idea is that my current version of those files just says"Welcome to antiX. Powered by Debian Testing." so there might be something else involved __{{emoticon}}__
You can choose which Debian you prefer Fatmac. I use testing and some even use Sid.Beta 13 should be using Wheezy
