Ok so, newbie to *nix
Found AntiX : nice ++++: Thankyou Anticapitalista and team __{{emoticon}}__ __{{emoticon}}__

I ran the shellscript update to 7.5 as an experiment and afaict ( __{{emoticon}}__ ) all good. __{{emoticon}}__
Previous broken dependencies fixed !! Cool.
IceWeasel 3 up and all go with all my prior extensions good.

I am having some issues with Flux: specifically is there some 'easy' way to add items to menu or even add a 'start' button on the task bar.

I have installed Firestarter and I think it is running.
I know this is not specifically AntiX: Anybody know how to stop the blasted location bar suggestions ??
If I'm typing in the location bar: I'm searching: I dont need to know where I've been. Duh

I know I'm only skimming the surface so far: Been a great learning curve.
Experiments continue.

Thankyou.

Welcome to antiX-M7.5 (updated)

There isn't an esy way to automatically add apps to fluxbox.
Via the control centre, you can edit fluxbox by hand.
You may prefer icewm. At login screen, toggle F1 to icewm ans see if you prefer it.

For location in iceweasel 3, I'm not sure, but maybe Edit->Preferences->Advanced->General

Have fun!

fluxbox dosen't have start bar icewm has.
fluxbox dosen't add items to it's menu by it self you have to add by hand: right click > settings > control centre > desktop > edit fluxbox settings > menu then add a new line where you want to be in the menu :
[exec] (name you want shown in menu) {program name like in terminal}
for example:
[exec] (Firefox 3) {firefox}

Fluxbox is quite different than most WM. It does not have the ability to add apps to the menu automagically, you must add them by hand. This is not difficult.

If you open /home/username/.fluxbox/menu in leafpad you will see the syntax used. It's very simple really and easy to customize. The first thing I would do is make a back up copy just in case you error. Then go ahead and edit the file. Just copy the syntax.

[exec] (name) {command}
[exec] (web browser) {iceweasel}

Just be careful when adding sub-menus.
