Unsuccessfully tried to download the video by dolphin_oracle in GTK Youtube Viewer

Double click found video
Video plays it OK in MPlayer
Fails
Highlight selected found video
Right Click-->Download Youtube Video
A window opens and immediately closes again. No messages displayed, no file downloaded.

I can replicate the problem but have not found a solution.
The CLI version can download just fine. For example:It also works in interactive mode in the CLI. Start the"youtube-viewer" program and then enter your search string. I used"Install antiX-13". D.O.'s video was the third in the list so I used the command :d=3 and it downloaded.
Again, I don't know why the GUI version doesn't download. The"Play it in a new terminal" option is broken in the same way.
