I'm hoping someone has already experienced this and found a way to resolve it (also known as save me some time and researching).

The following message is received during apt-get update

Code: Select all

Reading package lists... Done
W: GPG error: http://deb.opera.com sid Release: The following signatures were invalid: KEYEXPIRED 1326292011 KEYEXPIRED 1326292011 KEYEXPIRED 1326292011
Anyone know how to fix?

Opera will still update with those error messages folks. It is just a friendly warning the key is expired. Opera probably needs to fix this first before it makes it up to Debian. Looks like in 2012. The 2011 key

KEYEXPIRED 1326292011

is not valid anymore.

Thanks for the info.

I had half expected to have to manually obtain a new key, however after running apt-get update/upgrade again today the message no longer presents.

Upon checking the keys:

Code: Select all

apt-key list

...
pub 1024D/4E7532C8 2011-01-11 [expired: 2012-01-11]
uid Opera Software Archive Automatic Signing Key 2011 <packager@opera.com>

pub 1024D/336064B5 2011-11-08 [expires: 2013-01-11]
uid Opera Software Archive Automatic Signing Key 2012 <packager@opera.com>
sub 4096g/120EDEE4 2011-11-08 expires: 2013-01-13
It seems that a new key has been provided.
