Can someone please tell me how to disable this feature in AntiX-16? I need the ability to manually mount usb sticks quite often, and this helpful feature is then very unhelpful....

I hate automount for removable drives b/s one still has to UNmount them MANUALLY, so if I have to manually mount them, i'm much more likely to remember to unmount them!

When working with Gparted and trying to work with them unmounted it causes lots of trouble because when it refreshes, they remount. I wish it had a third option of semi-automatic where it would popup a message box asking me if I wanted to mount the drive, rather than just automatically mounting it or ignoring it.

That was exactly my problem with automount, gparted keeps mounting them every time it refreshes as you say. I much prefer to mount manually anyway, as I am so used to it, but can understand the convenience of it for newbies.thriftee wrote:When working with Gparted and trying to work with them unmounted it causes lots of trouble because when it refreshes, they remount. Auto mount manual dismount, as I have been using that since about 2002 , I have gotten use to the idea.
Gparted, just like everyone else, I have remember to dismount it a couple times.
