When I look for the file / etc / fstab, it doesn't exist on my installed 13.2, but / etc / fstab.d does, however it's empty. I want to change noauto to auto to mount all partitions at boot. I have HD0 [sda1, XP], HD1 [sda2, XPswap] [sda3 AntiXswap] [sda6 ext4, AntiX 13.2]. Do I create the file, and if so what permissions and what do I put in there ?

I am not quite sure, but I an guessing that your fstab file is further down the list.

Maybe try to just open it in an editor?

Code: Select all

 sudo nano / etc/fstab
or so?

Moved thread to new users to get the attention it deserves.

AntiX Control Center>System>Edit Config files is what you want.

hmmm fstab not exist?

Then make one.

Code: Select all

harry@biker:~
$ cd / etc
harry@biker:/ etc
$ ls
<snip>
fstab
fstab.backup  <snip>
ls command lists mine and my backup I made as present.
This is a old install though that is current testing.

Code: Select all

harry@biker:~
$ inxi -S
