I currently have AntiX installed on an old laptop and I am trying to boot Puppy Linux on a USB flash drive but it skips ahead and loads AntiX. I have it set to boot from Removable Devices before the hard drive. Also I can put an old Windows XP disc in the disc drive and it will load that. I've tried it on other computers and it worked OK.
What am I doing wrong?

Found it, it was a Plug n Play setting inside the bios!

That was going to be my suggestion of checking the BIOS. But some machines from that era would not boot from a usb. Until you got a BIOS update, or used a windoze specific program to boot from a usb.
Glad you figured it out. You da Man. __{{emoticon}}__
