WaveEdit (as in audio file editor - not converter)=Editor de áudio or Editor Wave (if it's only for wave files)
Converter (Video file converter ie mpg to avi)=Conversor (Video converter=Conversor de vídeo; Audio converter=Conversor de áudio; File converter=Conversor de arquivos)
cd burner -cli =Queimador de cd -cli (not found an abbreviation for 'cli' yet)

For pt_PT:
Newsreader (as in rss)= Noticias (rss)
WaveEdit (as in audio file editor - not converter)= Editor Wave
Converter (Video file converter ie mpg to avi)= Conversor Video
cd burner -cli = Gravador CDs - cli

Notes: I would leave (rss) after Noticias. As for cli (command line interface?) I'll leave as well like that after translation

I made some corrections in translation, these are more specific for Operating Systems, but I can't guess the word Connect - is it noun or verb? I'll make both to have a choice.
