Impressive looks. Blows away many of the screenshots I've seen at freshmeat and customize.org. Well done. Sorry that I can't help you with the xfce thing.

Thank you guys, __{{emoticon}}__
freshmeat and customize.org are the pimp-your-desktop sites.
I'll have to edit them by hand--Its fun,not hard-- just edit the 'scheme" file.
For a lite window manager--it got the bling!

Oroborus-wm how-to's and tips are hard to come by.
So,here we go--
To use xfwm4(xfce) themes in oroborus.
oroborus can not look into the xfwm4 folder.
So copy the files inside and paste them were the xfwm4 folder is.
now the theme will work.
In the .oroborusrc file comment out:
button layout
button offset and spacing
text shadow
title width
title offset
now these will be picked up in the themes"themerc" file
if it is not in the file, oroborus will use the back up in"/usr/share/oroborus/defaults" file
for gtk color pick up in xfce
or
schemes pick up in oroborus use:
========= SCRAPER REMOVED AN EMBEDDED LINK HERE ===========
url was:"http://www.xfce.org/xfwm4-theme-howto/"
linktext was:"http://www.xfce.org/xfwm4-theme-howto/"
====================================
xpm files are great!
all you need is an text editor to get it to work.--cool!!
any more tips on oroborus-wm --post them here.

I heard about Oroborus a few years ago, and wondered why almost nobody talks about it. I think you are the first person to mention it on any of the forums that I visit regularly.
What are you using to create that menu strip along the top of the screen? That's not part of Oroborus, is it?

the strip is tablaunch an wbar like launcher from crunchbang linux.
the menus are myGtkMenu app. and i use as my taskbar.
Oroborus is dead but i like the xfce look without the bloat.
the xfce themes a plus.
It looks like i'm one of the few who use it.
i wish they hack xfwm4 down like hackbox is to blackbox.
